Entry: Evening Oct. 29, 1927

With the help of Dr. Armitage and some drawings by James I have deciphered the true content of the tome. It seems the handwritten notes are instructions on the creation of protection wards and glyphs. The most important is the Eldar Sign. This sign prevents the outside ones from invading our world. It describes the outside things as horrible creatures that would bend even the resolute man's mind into insanity. It, also, has a spell called Ithaca. It summons a blizzard or something that drives Mi-go away. I have no clue if this works but I would like to try sometime. It could explain the freak storm that hit the town last year, if it's real.

The images are the ones I had James draw. His sculpting efforts seemed to have failed in the creation of a statue of the beast. He, also, had a keen eye to paint the Eldar sign and other wards as I described them to him. I told him what each was suppose to do but have no clue if he believes it all.

The Eldar Sign:

I hope if things go bad again a simple painting of this can save us.

The Mi-Go

I hope we never see this thing again. I can still smell the ozone from the electricity they fired at us.

Entry: Morning Oct. 10, 1927

I was summoned to Armitage's office today. It seems the Doctor knows more about the events of the weekend than we wanted. He even knew about the book. Oh well, nothing can be done now. He did say I was allowed to keep and study the book as long as I donated it afterwards. Added was that I would have questions and to come to him if I needed help. That could help in my studies. James and Steve were in attendance, as well. Steve seemed to ramble a bit, but I can see him starting to come into his own now. He tried to explain what we saw but nothing of last night made sense. James offered a mild description of the creatures and Armitage called them Mi-go's. I can neither confirm or deny any event of the evening. James has offered to sculpt the creatures, so that should prove interesting. Steve was congratulated on saving Walker's life. Nothing was mentioned of the fact he was the one who tried to kill him in the first place. This is enough writing for now. I need to start transcribing the handwritten notes in the book and learning what they mean.
